Gathering the World’s Aromas

There are varying approaches to importing a product. For us a producer isn’t just someone halfway around the world: it’s a family, their community, lands, labourers and country’s traditions. We build connections to foster the producers’ efforts and concurrently provide consumers with a veritable rainbow of qualities, origins, flavours and stories.

“COFFEE IS A MAGICAL THREAD UNITING PEOPLE THE WORLD OVER”

Specialty coffee is based on the concept of differentiation: if agricultural products are indistinguishable, and thus interchangeable, their market value is diminished. On the other hand, if producers focus on highlighting their cherries’ unique qualities, they are able to differentiate their product for its specific characteristics, and have the specialty market repay their efforts year after year.

UNIQUENESS.
REGION BY REGION.

Because of the differences of geographical location, biodiversity, climate, growing and processing methods, we place a particular value on the purity of the ensuing regional differences, and the distinctive character these bring to the final cup. As founding members of the specialty coffee movement, we support a global quest for quality and have done so for decades, far before specialty coffees were profitable and “good” for marketing.
